Considering five important things before buying a bespoke suit.
October 21, 2019

Buying a suit is like investing money in a project. Therefore, one needs to take proper care before going to any tailor for having his or her suit made. There are few things which you should always bear in mind before going to a tailoring house and even while buying a bespoke suit. These are the following.

1. The Tailors

The most important thing while deciding to buy a bespoke suit is the tailor. The quality of fabric, designs or any other component cannot make any suit as expected or beautiful unless the tailor making it knows his/her job. So, research on the internet about the best bespoke tailors who are experienced in making high quality bespoke clothing and you certainly will find our name and website. Choosing the right tailor is very important and perhaps the most important thing when you wish to buy bespoke clothing for yourself.

2. The Occasion

Now, the second most important thing before buying a bespoke suit is the occasion or event for which it is needed. Always, keep in mind, why you are buying this suit? It is for very special occasions like weddings, parties or evening dinners. Or is it for daily wear like going to the office, board meetings etc. or for a special date or party? Since, you are investing your money in this suit, your mind should be clear in deciding what type of suit you want and for what purpose. The fabric material can then be chosen according to the desired suit and style.

3. Fabric

The next thing to keep in mind is the fabric. There is nothing more important than the fabric of the suit which you are going to wear daily or on special occasions. If you live in all season climate zones then you can choose the fabric according to the season in which you would like to wear it. If you are from the tropics, then go for lighter fabrics like linen and cotton blends. If you live in colder climates like Europe, northern America and higher altitude regions, then go for woolen fabrics. The best fabrics for fine suiting are made in Europe and one should always prefer to buy fabrics which have been made in European mills. Other than the weather and climate you should chose the fabric according to your liking and taste.

4. Colour

The next important thing is the choice of colours. There are three universal colours which all men love to wear and look best on men. These are black, grey/silver and navy blue. Any man with any skin complexion can wear these colours and various patterns and designs available in these colours. One can have pin stripes, plain solid, broad stripes etc. in these colours. Other than these three universal colours, you can choose to have brown, white, light blue and even turquoise especially in linen. There are many more options and you can choose according to your desire and need.

5. Designing and Stitching

The next big thing is of course the designing of the bespoke clothing which you wish to make. This is where you need to be very clear with your tailor or designer and explain to them, what you have in your mind regarding your bespoke suit or other bespoke clothing. The cutting and designing is talent dependent. If you have chosen a good tailoring house like ours, then be assured that the product which you will get is going to be the best in fitting, design and quality. Do go for fitting session, in order to clear any flaw (which are very rare) before the final suit is put together for you.

There are many other minor things which are not that relevant while you shopping the best bespoke suit for yourself or your loved ones. If you will keep these five things in your mind before buying a suit, you will definitely get the best which can be bought in the market.
