Our Sepia Brown Flared Skirt is made to measure by JJ's Tailor in Hong Kong, cut to your numbers rather than to a standard size. It is cut for your proportions, which makes a visible difference at the waist and hip. Our family has been tailoring in Hong Kong for about 30 years, and the same standards go into every piece we make.

Cut and details

The details of the skirt are decided with you. Things we can talk through:

• Shape: pencil, flared, straight or with a slit
• Length: set to your height and proportions
• Waist and hip: cut to your own measurements

The cloth

Sepia brown is a soft, warm brown with an antique feel. Wool is the traditional choice for tailoring because it breathes, drapes well and keeps its shape. If you would like it in a different cloth or colour, ask us and we will help you choose.

How to order

Ordering starts with a conversation. Get in touch and tell us what you would like; we will suggest cloths and confirm the details with you. Fittings are held in Hong Kong and in the cities we visit on our trips; each takes about 15 to 20 minutes and begins with a full set of measurements.

Take your time over the measurements: our guide includes tips such as adding 1.5 cm to the sleeve measurement.
