Our Slim-Fit Brushed Top Coat is a brushed cloth topcoat with a slim-fit cut. Like everything we make, it is cut to your measurements rather than to a standard size. It is cut as an outer layer, with room for tailoring or knitwear underneath. JJ's Tailor is a family business, and we have been making suits for clients in Hong Kong for about 30 years.

Colour and cloth

In the photograph it is made up in brushed cloth, a cloth with a soft, lightly raised surface. It is at its best in the cooler months. Not sure about the cloth? We will show you options and help you decide, in person or by email.

Where to wear it

Choose a darker cloth for evenings and city wear, or a lighter one for daytime and weekends. There are more men's topcoats to look at if you would like to compare.

Cut and details

The version in the photograph has a slim-fit cut. Think of the photograph as a starting point; the details are yours to decide. For example:

Front: single-breasted (three or four buttons, optionally fly front) or double-breasted (four, six or eight)
Breast pocket: optional top pocket
Back vent: no vent or a single vent
Lapel: notched or peaked
Length: half, three-quarter or full length

How to order

We make it to order. Contact us or come to a fitting and we will help you settle the cloth, lining and details, as well as the fit. We can measure you in person at our showroom in Kowloon, Hong Kong, or at a fitting on one of our tailoring trips. A fitting generally takes 15 to 20 minutes.
