The Velvet Collar Overcoat is made to order by our family tailoring house in Hong Kong, to your own measurements. As an outer layer, it is made with the room to sit comfortably over a jacket.

Colour and cloth

Plain colours are the easiest to mix and match, and patterns add character where you want it. The colour and cloth in the photograph show the look we have in mind, and the fit comes from your own measurements. Tell us if you would like another cloth or colour and we will talk you through what is possible.

Who it suits

It suits cold-weather business wear, evenings out and any occasion where you want to arrive looking composed. Wear it over a suit on the commute or over a jumper at the weekend; it is cut to layer without pulling. There are more men's topcoats to look at if you would like to compare.

Details to talk through

The version in the photograph has a velvet collar. We will go over the details with you, including these:

• Sleeve buttons: two to five, regular or kissing
• Lining: from our lining collection
• Front: single-breasted (three or four buttons, optionally fly front) or double-breasted (four, six or eight)
• Pockets: straight or cutaway, with or without flaps, plus an optional ticket pocket
